This house has been on the market for well over a year at different (decreasing) prices, the latest listing is for $249k.
It was purchased in 1996 for $22,000. At some point the house was damaged in a fire and in the late 90's work started to rebuild it and add on. In 2001 someone noticed that there were no permits and work stopped.

In May 2009 in went into foreclosure at $429k. I'm not sure what happened from 2001 to 2009.
All 3500 un-permitted feet can now be yours for $249k. Bring a sledgehammer to knock out all the walls down the studs, and a lawyer to clean up the paperwork. Oh, and bring cash, cause the banks won't finance this one.

I remember seeing this house being "remodeled" on the way to work everyday, the scaffolding was very rickety, looked like a lawsuit waiting to happen. I remember coworkers mentioned how shady the whole operation looked. I didn't realize it never got "flipped".
I will gladly offer 25K to buy this property, if the owner will loan me the money.
Thanks for sharing such a nice stuff. What is the square feet area of this house? I like Photographs of this house.
