Brilliant Marketing Du Jour

Boy, this photos leaves me speechless. As it must for the Realtor, who didn't enter any information about the house at all beyond the address. RMLS #9004068.

Short sale, with tenants living in the home.

No excuse for not getting a better front view and some other exteriors, but it does fill in some of the story. Nor for filling in some listing detail. At least one RMLS violation I can see.

Thanks for the insights Ron. I assumed it was a foreclosure or short sale, but come on... A sale is a sale, is that any reason not to put the full effort into the sale, or at least a little?

Wouldn't the agent want to sell it? They don't get paid unless it sells right? I just don't get it.

Real Estate Agent is one of the few non-criminal jobs, next to car salesman and stripper, that you can hold down if you're mentally ill or have drug problems.

Moreover, making money off real estate has been as easy as spotting the retard a George W Bush press conference for two decades.

As a consequence, it hasn't exactly attracted the brightest and most industrious folks out there.

What did you expect? Some handsome Latino telling you about the rich Corinthian Leather?

Maybe the agent has lost hope. He still has his cell phone, evidently. I wonder how many formerly full-time agents are now part-timers because they had to take a second job to make ends meet, and therefore no longer put much effort or money into marketing? This year, how many will decide the fees to stay licensed are no longer worth it?

It's pending, so I guess the realtor got the last laugh.

Pending hey, well I guess they have just found the greater fool.

Looks like they just grabbed a photo from google street view...

But why the distortion? Maybe the realtor doesn't know how to grab photos from the web, so they took a pic of their CRT using a digital camera.

So lame.

Check back in a year or two, it will another short sale or foreclosure. At that time it will be around $125K.

so what do you guys make of the sales data on this property at PortlandMaps...4 days apart and 90K difference.

Interesting how this is a short sale...so where did the HELOC $ go?

That's always the $64 question, isn't it?

I know some people who have hit hard times were living off this money, but for the rest I just never understood the whole borrowing against the house thing. You're still borrowing, and still have to pay it back right? I guess I'm crazy for living within my means.
